This site is for people who like plants -- growers, enthusiasts, aesthetes, novices and professionals, those who appreciate wild things and those who appreciate the cultivated. I garden in Chelsea, and I've been visiting people's yards for 20+ years in the course of my work. My goal is to make this blog a community project, so if you share my interests, please consider becoming a participant and contributing content -- Guerin. Info:

Who are you?

So, who are the 353 people (according to Google) who viewed this blog yesterday? Hey you! Yes, I'm talking to you! I need your feedback. Chime in. Post a comment. Send me something about gardening that I can post, or I can give you rights to post directly if that makes sense.  I don't want this to be my voice alone.

  1. I love your blog! I'm originally from Michigan, but I live in Maryland now. I've replaced my lawn with a garden (trying as much native as possible), and your observations give me ideas, information, and HOPE! (I once read that you shouldn't give up on a plant until you've killed it three times.)
P.S., I feel your pain about unknown readers. I have a blog, and I'm constantly wondering who is reading it. What are they thinking.

  2. I read your blog every day (that you post) and I always find it very interesting. I have commented in the past. Been too busy gardening lately. Wish I had mulched my vegetable garden heavily last fall so I wouldn't have so many weeds to uproot before I can plant. Live and learn!
